2022 Quick Draw

Paint San Clemente week kicked off with the Quick Draw competition. Artists had 3 hours to complete a painting. The paintings are beautiful. See pictures of the entries and the winners here.

2022 Paint San Clemente Awards Reception,  June 25 at The Community Center

San Clemente art lovers are invited to enjoy wine and food catered by J’s and wine from Rancho Capistrano winery. Meet the artists who painted what inspired them about our town this year, and preview and purchase original works of art at the 20th Annual Paint San Clemente Awards Reception, on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at the San Clemente Community Center, 100 N. Calle Seville, off Avenida Del Mar in the historic downtown Village. Tickets for the Paint San Clemente Plein Air awards reception are $20. To order tickets call (949) 303-5484.

On Saturday, June 18 from 12:30 to 3:30 a quick draw competition is being held on the lawn of the Community center. Awards at 4:30

Almost 100 artists from around the United States are competing in this year’s judged fine art competition worth $6000. The competition begins June 18 and ends with a two day outdoor exhibit and sale of art, June 25 and 26. Art exhibit in the gallery until July 22.

Paint San Clemente is an annual event hosted by the San Clemente Art Association (SCAA), with support from the City of San Clemente and many local sponsors.

SCAA is a non profit community based arts organization dedicated to encouraging development of and appreciation for the arts among people of all ages. SCAA hosts exhibitions and events with various art forms at its downtown location, provides educational opportunities for artists and community members, including the Marines through the Military Arts Program, provides annual scholarships to high school seniors and donates art supplies to supplement art programs at local schools.

May 2022 Demonstration

See the Rick Delanty Art demonstration Sunday May 15th 3PM

Rick’s will be our last demonstration before the summer and his presentation will be a great kick- off to our weeklong Paint San Clemente 2022!

Demonstrations are free to members in the Ole Hanson Fireplace Room of the Community Center, next to the gallery. $10 to non-members. Entrance includes a ticket for a raffle prize from our demonstrator, snacks, and beverages. No RSVP and tickets at the door. More Info.
